Trick Williams Dethrones Joe Hendry in Historic TNA World Championship Match at WWE Battleground

History was made as Trick Williams stunned Joe Hendry to become the first-ever active WWE Superstar to win the TNA World Championship.

The deafening Tampa crowd was on their feet cheering before the two even locked up, setting the tone for the incredible, historic match.

Williams mocked the champion at every opportunity, even hitting a Booker T-inspired Spinaroonie before getting hit with a huge Book End.

Hendry nearly had the match won with a Standing Ovation, but Trick used his long legs to latch onto the bottom rope to break the count.

Williams snapped back into action and slammed the champion through the announce table, attempting to hit Hendry with the title.

The official stopped the attack, but Williams slammed Hendry onto the title before hitting a Trick Shot to win the match and make history.
