On Sunday, March 23rd Future Stars of Wrestling presented the Beynefit For Bey show and featured stars from multiple promotions including WWE star Karrion Kross, former AEW World Champion Strickland and an appearance from Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam.
Appearing in the closing segment and introduced by Kross, the former TNA X Division Champion stepped inside a wrestling ring for the first time since his accident and was met with cheers from the live fans in attendance. The fans chanted it was “Bey’s house” and Bey called for his tag team partner Ace Austin to also join him in the ring. Bey said that the fans and the people in the back were the reason he was able to stand.
Ending the address, Bey stated “I love you, I thank you, I am nothing without you,” as the Las Vegas crowd cheered.
Other notable stars that were in action at the show included AEW star Ricochet and TNA star AJ Francis with Rey Mysterio also sending a message via video.
Back in October, the TNA star suffered a broken neck during his match at the Impact tapings. Only given a 10-25% chance of walking again, the former X Division Champion defied the odds and recently posted a video of him standing out of his wheelchair.
While Bey has been able to defy the odds by being able to walk again, the former X Division Champion was recently asked if there is a possibility of him being able to wrestle again. During the interview, Chris Bey spoke about how he could beat the odds once again.
