LOS ANGELES – Invicta Fighting Championships, the world’s premier all-women mixed martial arts promotion, shines a spotlight on its most iconic moments and unforgettable finishes with Invicta Fighting Championships Presents Invicta Elite, an all-new two-hour television special premiering Thursday, December 18 at 7 PM ET on CBS Sports Network.
Hosted by TNA Wrestling’s veteran play-by-play commentator Tom Hannifan, Invicta Elite showcases nine must-see bouts featuring explosive stoppages, razor-thin decisions, memorable debuts, and championship-defining performances—many presented nearly in full.
Among the highlights is BJJ black belt Talita Bernardo’s thrilling clash with former champion Katharina Lehner at IFC 50, where Bernardo’s adaptability and composure overcame Lehner’s high-level fight IQ to secure a second-round submission. Also featured is Danni McCormack’s remarkable display of resilience at IFC 52, surviving 25 grueling minutes against reigning Strawweight champion Valesca Machado. After absorbing punishing offense, McCormack surged late to end Machado’s four-fight win streak and capture the title, becoming the first Irish champion in Invicta history.
The special also includes the historic showdown between Olga Rubin and Claire Guthrie at IFC 53, where Guthrie delivered the first buggy choke submission in Invicta history—earning recognition as a 2023 Submission of the Year contender. Fans will relive Jackie Cataline’s dominant stoppage victory over Kelly Ottoni at IFC 56, handing Ottoni her first professional loss, as well as Brazilian bantamweight Mayra Cantuária’s pivotal win over Rubin at IFC 60 to earn a title shot against reigning champion Jennifer Maia. Additional highlights include Emily Ducote’s emotional hometown return at IFC 61, where she stopped Thaiane Souza in under two-and-a-half minutes, along with several other unforgettable performances that define Invicta’s legacy.
CBS Sports Network is available on DIRECTV (channel 221) and Dish Network (channel 158). Fans can also stream CBS Sports Network programming live online at CBSSports.com.
