GameTV, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, Inc., announces that the Network is the national broadcaster of LIV Golf in Canada. As part of the agreement, GameTV will air 14 LIV Golf events live every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the upcoming season, which begins today Friday, February 24. Encore broadcasts will follow each live event on companion Anthem platform Game+.
LIV Golf is a revolutionary golfing experience that seeks to redefine the game with unique and dynamic elements such as a shotgun start, live leaderboard, innovative drone footage, eye-catching statistics-centered graphics, and a fast-paced focus that allows for coverage of almost double the amount of golf shots featured in more traditional broadcasts. The 2023 season introduces a brand-new format that puts the spotlight on concurrent team and individual play, as 12 teams vie for $405 million in total prizes across 14 exciting tournaments at some of the world’s most prestigious courses.
The new season tees off today, as international golf pros Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Sergio Garcia, and Bryson DeChambeau compete at El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Club in Mexico. Other highlights include matches at landmark venues such as Australia’s Grange Golf Club; Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore; Spain’s Real Club Valderrama; the Centurion Club in England; the Trump National Doral in Miami; the Team Championship showdown at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and more.
