Game+ Announces Deal to Broadcast Drone Champions League Events Across North America

TORONTO – Anthem Sports & Entertainment announced today that its Game+ network has signed a three-year deal with the Drone Champions League to broadcast upcoming live events across the U.S. and Canada.

Formerly known as FNTSY Sports Network, Game+ remains the home for fantasy sports gaming news and information, and also features wagering information programming, Esports, high stakes poker, live action sports, wrestling and other fast-paced, action-adventure driven shows and lifestyle programming.

“We are thrilled to finalize our partnership with the world’s first league in drone motorsport,” said Chad Midgley, VP of Game+. “Since rebranding the network, we have increased our focus on specialty live events and unique content that serve passionate communities. The drone racing revolution is already in full swing with tournaments held all over the world and we look forward to bringing coverage of these events to our viewers across North America.”

“Every year, the DCL unites the world’s best drone pilots in eight international teams to compete on spectacular tracks all around the world,” said Benedikt Brandmeier, head of sales and strategy at DCL. “With a maximum speed of more than 160 km/h, even the smallest mistake can make the difference between winning and losing. Since drone racing combines and refines modern technologies like no other sport, the events provide all the right ingredients for ultimate excitement – and Game+, the new destination for premier sports, is the perfect partner to broadcast these truly immersive experiences in Canada and the U.S.”

The Drone Champions League 2019 season continues on July 11-13 in Turn, Italy. The remaining 2019 schedule includes:

• July 11-13 – Turin, Italy

• Sept. 13-15 – Saudi Arabia

• Oct. 18-20 – Liechtenstein

• Nov. 15-17 – Singapore

• Dec. 13-15 – Las Vegas

The Drone Champions League (DCL) takes on the challenge of establishing drone racing as a world sport.
