LOS ANGELES (June 16, 2022) – AXS TV hits the concert scene this summer to put music fans to the ultimate test in the all-new trivia series Parking Lot Payday—premiering Tuesday, July 12 at 8p.m. ET/5p.m. PT.
Hosted by Zach Selwyn—whose diverse credits include leading roles on acclaimed series such as Around the Horn (ESPN), Attack Of The Show, and America’s Secret Slang, among others—Parking Lot Payday puts a fun and unique spin on the traditional game show experience, as Selwyn and his crew ride into concert parking lots to give attendees the chance to cash-in on their knowledge of their favorite bands. The inaugural season features four 30-minute episodes, putting the spotlight on concertgoers on their way to see heavy metal masterminds Metallica (July 12), rock trailblazers The Rolling Stones (July 19), chart-topping favorites Imagine Dragons (July 26), and rock mainstays Coldplay (Aug. 1).
Select fans will have the opportunity to answer up to 10 multiple-choice questions specifically pertaining to the band performing that night. The first question is worth five dollars, and that amount doubles with each question that follows—resulting in a possible grand total of $2,560 for those lucky contestants who manage to correctly answer all 10 questions. To aid them in their quest, fans will have the option to ask for a hint, text a friend, or search for the answer on their phone for 30 seconds if they get stuck. A contestant can choose to walk away at any point with the money they have won, whether it is merely $5, $80 or the entire pot. Once a fan answers a question incorrectly, they are out of the game and lose all of their earned money.
“Parking Lot Payday is the ultimate concert pre-game, showcasing the incredibly knowledgeable fans that have become as much a part of these legendary band's history as the chart-topping hits they’ve created,” Zach Selwyn said. “This is a really fun and interactive series that fans of all ages can enjoy. We had a great time putting it together, and we look forward to sharing it with AXS TV’s audience when Parking Lot Payday debuts on July 12.”
“Parking Lot Payday is a true celebration of the fans—their passion for their favorite bands, their impressive knowledge, and their unique personalities that in many ways are a reflection of these artists they love,” said Sarah Weidman, Head of Programming, Development and Multi-Platform Content for AXS TV. “We're giving the fans the spotlight this summer with this new series. Concert-goers are having the chance to win some cash, and viewers get to play along at home to test their knowledge. Zach had a blast with them and it's a really fun and light-hearted show; we are confident our viewers are going to enjoy everything we have planned.”
Parking Lot Payday is produced in-house by AXS TV, with Sarah Weidman, Lauren Child and Kim Garner serving as executive producers.

It’s a fun concept to see concert fans put their knowledge to the test before the show even starts. Turning the parking lot into an interactive trivia game with real cash prizes makes the concert experience even more memorable, and I like how viewers can also play along from home. For busy students who love music but struggle to balance academics with events and entertainment, services that let them Take My Online Class can help them stay on top of coursework while still enjoying experiences like these. Great idea for engaging fans in a fresh and entertaining way!
This sounds like such a fun, high-energy concept! Concert tailgates always have the most passionate (and hilarious) fans, so putting their music knowledge to the test for cold hard cash is absolute genius.
Since music is a universal language, this show is bound to attract a massive global audience—even if international viewers might need Certified Translation Services to translate some of those hyper-specific American rock trivia questions! Zach Selwyn is the perfect host for this vibe. I can't wait to tune in on July 12th and see who actually walks away with the money.
Implementing a robust Product Categorization Service is an absolute game-changer for e-commerce scalability. Trying to manually map thousands of SKUs to the right taxonomy is a massive bottleneck that usually leads to poor search relevance and lost sales. Automating this process not only cleans up the user experience but also heavily boosts SEO.
AXS TV’s Parking Lot Payday sounds like a fun and creative way to turn concert parking lots into a game-show experience for real music fans. The format is especially engaging because it lets people test their knowledge of the bands they already love, while also giving viewers a chance to play along at home. I also like how the show celebrates fan passion and quick thinking, since both can make a big difference in any challenge. In a similar way, students who are busy with packed schedules often look for academic support services such as Take My Online Class to help them stay on track. The blog highlights how entertainment, knowledge, and participation can come together in a fresh and exciting…
